The Darling Home for Kids is a state-of-the-art facility set on a beautiful 77-acre woodlot in Milton, Ontario. Nestled on the Niagara Escarpment, the Home’s tranquil surroundings are just minutes away from Highway 401 and the conveniences of the Town of Milton, Ontario’s fastest growing community.
Designed and built to be a home away from home, The Darling Home for Kids has 7 bedrooms and can accommodate 12 children for overnight respite, palliative and residential care. Additional children and families can receive service through day programs and community outreach services.
In our large family room, children and families relax by the fireplace, read stories, and snuggle up to watch movies. Our kitchen provides space for meal times and baking, while our multi-purpose room is a space for arts and crafts, activities, and counseling. In our multi-sensory (Snoezelen) room and hydrotherapy room, children participate in a number of therapeutic programs.
Outside, we have walking trails, a playground, a therapeutic sculpture garden, and a waterfall, allowing children to interact with nature.
