On Friday October 14th, Roche Canada, leaders in providing pharmaceutical and diagnostic solutions, donated 46 teddy bears to The Darling Home for Kids. “At Roche Canada, we understand the importance of healthcare organizations such as The Darling Home for Kids. The programs and services they offer medically complex children are essential to the health and wellbeing of families who live in our local community, we are most pleased to support them in this way” said Christina Archer, Country Head.
The staff came together through a team building exercise, working with Dave Harris of Teambonders.com “It’s a Win-Win team building event, fun and altruistic, it benefits your team and the children who receive the Bears”.
They are each unique in design too! Trinity, a resident of The Darling Home for Kids, accompanied by her nurse Maddison Gilmour, went to Roche to receive the teddy’s on behalf of the Home. Trinity picked out her own special bear!
This year Roche expanded its corporate philanthropy efforts to include The Darling Home for Kids as one of their principal charities. We are just so grateful for the relationship, it’s truly a comprehensive partnership. Not only do they donate much needed dollars and gifts in kind to help us with our mission, but they volunteer their time at the Home.
