The Darling Home for Kids Made a SPLASH This Siblings Day!

On Saturday, June 6th, The Darling Home for Kids had a Siblings Splash Day outing to Mountsberg Conservation Area. There were 32 of the Home’s children, siblings, parents, volunteers and staff participating in water games, a birds of prey demonstration and musical entertainment.

We had great weather for being outdoors, meeting the Mountsberg mascot and having a picnic lunch. Everyone had a splash’ good time!
Siblings Days consist of recreation and discussion based activities with the aim of boosting self-esteem, enabling communication of feelings and concerns, and helping to foster a better understanding of their sibling’s disability – all while having fun!
Siblings Days are hosted each season. Keep your eyes on the calendar and e-news for the Siblings Day this Fall!
