11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Raises an Incredible $80,000
The Annual Darling Home for Kids Charity Golf Tournament, presented by Carwell Construction, was held at Lionhead Golf and Country Club on Monday, July 21st, 2008. The day was a complete success raising an incredible $80,000 for the Home.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Angelo Ricciuto of Carwell Construction for once again coming forward as the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
As well, our appreciation to T-fal (Auction Sponsor), Michele Darling & Michael Eagen (Game Card Sponsor), Molson Canada (Hospitality Sponsor), and GlaxoSmithKline (Lunch Sponsor) for their Silver Sponsorships. Our gratitude also goes out to Lee Paige of Spray-Pak/K-G Packaging whose incredible support played a vital role in the success of the event. We could not have had such a successful tournament without the support of all of our sponsors.
Congratulations to the 1st place foursome from GlaxoSmithKline, Gary Bonsteel, Sav DiPasquale, Barry Markowsky, and Michael McTeague. 2nd and 3rd place went to Spray-Pak/K-G Packaging and Apotex Inc., respectively.
The success of our annual Golf Tournament could not be attained if it were not for the hard work and dedication of our organizing committee. Thank you to the members of the 2008 Golf Committee for their amazing support of this worthwhile event: Anita Boyce and Terry Wells (Co-Chairs), Monica Buechler, Bruce Cumming, Mike Eagen, Sheron Groe, John Hinnen, Matt Little, Carmela Leroux, Anne McGrath, and Betty Turzer. In addition, we would like to extend a warm thank you to all of the volunteers who supported the event the day of the tournament, including our “Pro” Ryan Eagen.
Thank you to all of our Bronze Sponsors, Darling Sponsors, Milestone Sponsors, silent auction and prize donors and dinner guests. Please know that in supporting our Signature Events you are helping to make a difference.
We look forward with enthusiasm to next year’s tournament and hope you will join us once again! If you are interested in helping to plan the 2009 event, please contact Jennifer Young, Fundraising and Administrative Assistant!
