The 13th Annual Darling Home for Kids Charity Golf Tournament was a success!
We couldn’t have asked for a better day for our 13th Annual Darling Home for Kids Charity Golf Tournament. On Thursday, July 15th, 2010, the sun was shining and there was a beautiful breeze, as over 110 golfers took to the Masters Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club in support of the Home, raising an incredible $50,000.
We would like to extend our appreciation to The Darling/Eagen Family, our Game Card Sponsor for their Silver sponsorship, and our gratitude also goes out to Lee Paige of Spray-Pak/K-G Packaging whose incredible support played a vital role in the success of the event. Thank you to all of our Bronze sponsors, Darling sponsors, Milestone sponsors, silent auction and prize donors and dinner guests. Please know that in supporting our Signature Events you are helping to make a difference in the lives of the children and families who benefit from the services offered at The Darling Home for Kids.
The success of our annual golf tournament could not be attained if it were not for the hard work and dedication of the 2010 Golf Committee. A special thank you to the following members for their support: Sheron Lau (Event Co-Chair), Janice Vancso (Event Co-Chair), Anthony Adoghe, Michael Eagen, Henry Franc, Angela Kong, Jason Pelaccia, Lynn Sigurdson, and Bob Vancso. Your careful planning and execution of this event helped to ensure its ultimate success.
In addition, we would like to extend a warm thank you to all of the volunteers who supported the event the day of the tournament, including our our “Emcee” Doug Keating, and our photographers, Jim and Lynn Sigurdson.
Congratulations to the 1st place foursome from Millcroft Financial Group Ltd., which included golfers Murray Johnston, Wayne Rockliffe, Ron Smith, and Chris Tymstra. 2nd and 3rd place went to GlaxoSmithKline Inc. and Kevin & Anita Boyce, respectively.
