For those of you familiar with the Home, you know that in September 2008, we began construction on Phase II of The Darling Home for Kids. Our Phase II project is a response to a growing need for our services, and will double the size of the Home and increase our capacity to help Ontario families in need.
With over 500,000 children in Canada living with disabilities and at least 4% of these children living with severe disabilities, The Darling Home for Kids is a vital health care resource that can provide complex care to these children who are often unable to find service at traditional care centres.

In the Build a Wall Challenge, The Darling Home for Kids is challenging individuals and businesses to help us engage local communities to help put us over the top in our campaign to complete this vital project. The Home is only $500,000 away from our $3M goal!
Getting involved is easy!
We've set up a fundraising website for the Build a Wall Challenge that allows you to create fundraising teams, or to set up as an individual.
Once you've registered your team, your co-workers, family members, or friends can register as your teammates! You can set a goal for your team, and your teammates can each set their own fundraising goals.
You can add a special message to your page describing why you are helping The Darling Home for Kids, and even add up to 3 pictures.
From there, you can spread the word! E-mail your friends and family, asking them to contribute to your fundraising goals. There are also dozens of ideas for fundraising in the office, around the house, or at school! Whether you host a bake sale at work, a garage sale at home, or a Loonie drive at school, each contribution made to the Build a Wall Challenge will make a difference.
Your support will create 3 new bedrooms with 6 care beds to meet an ever-increasing demand for service, a family room where children can play, a multi-purpose room for crafts and games, an expanded kitchen, and a Snoezelen multi-sensory therapy room. We are more than doubling the size of the Home!
This is your chance to make a difference in a child's life, one brick at a time. With your support, these children and their families will have a home away from Home that is able to provide first-rate care to Ontario families.
